    Dr Conners,
Can even small amounts of dairy or meat trigger cancer pathways?
I am following mostly a plant based diet but sometimes I have minimal animal product, like if it’s in a restaurant dish or a meal at someones house. My integrative MD said that even one mouthful of dairy or meat could stimulate cancer growth pathways for weeks! Is that true? it puts me into a sympathetic state of worry anytime i have a little bit of dairy or meat now and I want a second opinion so it can either eliminate my worry….or if you agree….that any tiny bit of dairy or meat can trigger pathways, then it gives me more impetus to completely avoid them.

Second, what is your opinion on Off Label drugs to block cancer pathways? I’m at a minimal disease state and on a conventional treatment break, so I am taking these off labels to prevent tumor recurrence. Do you use them to keep cancer at bay with your patients?

Hello. My husband has been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has spread to his lungs. He has been tolerating the chemo well however his latest scan showed spots on his liver, nodules in his lungs have increased and possibly something on his spine. who We are also working with a naturopath who specializes in cancer and has him on a number of supplements. My question to you is would you have any recommendations as to what we might be doing additional to extend his life and fight this insidious cancer? I also have him on basically a plant based diet. The oncologist is adding cisplatin to his chemo regimen. Thank you for any help. I really appreciate your input.

I feel infinitely better on a Whole Foods plant based diet, but some doctors I respect recommend a keto diet based on the Warburg effect which claims (convincingly, I think) that cancer is a metabolic disease that thrives on glucose. These doctors demonize grains and legumes, and even fruit, as well as the more obvious culprits. Which kind of diet do you recommend to breast cancer survivors? Thank you!
