Greetings Dr. Chilkov!
Since my husband is not able to do conventional treatment for multiple myeloma, are there any herbs good for healing bone marrow/blood cancers specifically? We have been told by a couple doctors, including two oncologists, that there is no cure for this type of cancer and ‘only’ conventional drug treatment may prolong his life, although it will never cure it and the drugs are pretty toxic to the body from what we have read. These doctors have told us that natural therapies or even nutrition will not help, in fact, the one doctor laughed when we even mentioned trying naturopathic therapies. It has been a frustrating journey, but we are not going to give up on trying to heal without conventional cancer drugs, since that is our only option. We don’t know what kind of herbs help kill cancer cells especially relating to bone marrow cancers. We also have thought about acupuncture, so we are curious how this helps the body heal and does it help with bone pain? Thank you for any direction you can give us as we did not get any support on nutrition or natural healing from conventional doctors, sadly. We are grateful for the health and healing summits as it has helped with learning about nutrition, but we know there is much more we can do than changing our diet and exercising. Thank you for your input! 🙂
Hello Dr. Chilkov!
I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in Sept 2018. Had lumpectomy but I did not undergo chemo and radiation but I instead consulted with a naturopath. The tumor came back per ultrasound in November 2019. I have noticed everytime I am stressed and anxious it grows and right now I noticed a small lump under my nipple which was not there during my last ultrasound in November 2021. It is not hard for me to fall asleep at night. My problem, however, is I find it hard to go back to sleep once I get up to pee in the middle of the night.
My first question is…are there any herbs to help with my insomnia?
I am taking 3mg melatonin now but it is of little help as I still wake up at 3am and can not go back to sleep anymore.
My next question is…for how long can I take melatonin for sleep and can I increase the dosage? If so, how much?
Thank you very much Dr. Chilkov. May you be richly blessed!

For Dr Chilkov…I had been diagnosed with HER2+. HAD A BREAST lumpectomy. took out small tumour and lucky to only had one lymph node that was cancerous. I declined chemo and radiation. at the time had a doc trained in western and eastern medicine and expert in Acupuncture. I was able to stay at her healing center for 4 days and then fell and broke my ankle so my stay there was ended. had a couple acupuncture treatments with her since but now she is not able to have her clinic because of covid and my reg doc has retired. I would love to know how can I stop taking Letrozole…it is the only thing I agreed to because of fear..it has awful side effects…I cannot afford naturel therapies…so feel really alone on this. I was diagnosed last February with IDC 100% Estrogen positive, Her-2 positive. It was stage 1, 1 5 cm tumor, no metastasis to my lymph nodes. I had a lumpectomy but refused chemo, radiation and 10 years of some type of aromatase treatment. I am under the care of a naturopath, but not being given much advice on how to prevent a return of my cancer. I am also seeing a Chinese medicine/acupuncturist every three months. She told me my body responds extremely well to acupuncture. Beyond this, as well as eating the right foods, and supplementation, what would you recommend I be doing to prevent a reoccurance of my cancer? I also exercise every day, including rebounding. Thank you for your time.
Hello Dr. Chilkov!
In early October 2021, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 HER2 Positive/Hormone Positive Breast Cancer 95% Estrogen positive, 26% Progesterone, and 80% Her2 positive. On November 16, 2021, I underwent a lumpectomy. My tumor size was 5 mm with no metastasis in the two removed lymph nodes. Tumor margin and sentinel lymph node operative biopsies were all negative. On January 3rd, I began a 20-day targeted radiation therapy, along with several individuals. Many of those cancer patients, including myself, tested positive for the Covid -19 Omicron virus. I felt really bad for one week,.
Dana Farber Cancer Institute has qualified me to participate in a clinical trial, administering Phesgo (Herceptin + Pertuzumab) 26x for 1 year and aromatase inhibitor hormone therapy for 5 years. I am choosing NOT to undergo the targeted HER2 therapy, chemotherapy, nor hormone blocker therapy. Until my cancer diagnosis, I have been very healthy, exercising regularly, with no illness, and no prescription medicines other than compounded progesterone and estrogen (until I discovered my breast tumor), shocking all medical caregivers I came in contact with. I exercise regularly, practice yoga 4-5 times a week, and stretch daily. I have a weekly appointment with a Master Reiki Therapist, have regular chiropractic maintenance, drink and shower in filtered water and run in-home air purifiers. I eat organically, do not eat sweets other than dark cacao chocolate. My supplements are carefully rationalized, and I avoid glutten as much as possible. What types of herbs, supplements, and foods would be helpful to prevent reoccurrence of her2 cancer?
Dear Dr. Chilkov,
Love your Shitaki soup recipe.
Current diagnosis of Breast Cancer – on top of Type 2 Diabetes. having trouble keeping my blood sugar low, despite switching to a plant-based diet before Thanksgiving. Have lost 25-30 pounds in last 6 months
Is intermittent fasting (16 hours each day) advisable, or is that better in remission? What supplements or should I consider?
Thank you for your kind attention
